Hello, fellow space ninja. My name is [redacted], and I have a confession: I once thought Helminth was just a fancy name for a space parasite that eats Warframes. I was right. It also eats your resource stockpile, your Bile, and your dignity. But if you want to slap Roar on everything or turn your favorite frame into a walking Warcry machine, you need it. Here is how I unlocked the Helminth system in Warframe, updated for 2026, with as few tears as possible.

Step 0: Admit You Need Junctions

Before you can feed a creepy wall mouth, you need to reach Deimos. That means completing the Earth to Mars Junction. Yes, the same Junctions you ignored while chasing shiny relics. They are still there, still judging you.

To open Earth to Mars, you need:

• Collect 250 Rubedo. Mine came from Earth missions while I wondered why everything is red.

• Complete the Once Awake quest. It starts as a Grineer Spy on Mercury and ends with Defense on Lares.

But wait, there is more. You also need earlier Junctions:

Step 1: Start The Heart of Deimos

After Earth to Mars, Loid sends you a message. Loid is a Cephalon servant to the Entrati, an Orokin family that makes my family look functional. He asks for help on Deimos. Go to your Orbiter Codex, opposite the Market, and pick The Heart of Deimos. Congratulations, you are now emotionally involved with space fungus.

Step 2: Unlock Cambion Drift

You cannot just fly to Cambion Drift. You must complete Mars and Deimos nodes first. It is like a VIP club, except the bouncer is an Infested tumor.

Complete these nodes:

1. Kadesh on Mars, a Defense mission.

2. Horend on Deimos, a Capture mission.

3. Phlegyas on Deimos, an Exterminate mission.

Step 3: Play Through The Heart of Deimos

This quest is a family therapy session with guns. You meet Mother, who explains the Heart powers Void tech, including Warframes. The Grey Stain threatens it. If it corrupts the Heart, your Warframe becomes a very expensive cosplay statue.

You destroy Infested Hives, meet Father and a dying Necramech, then Daughter asks you to collect 10 Fass Residue and at least 3 fish. Bring a Fishing Spear. The residue acts like bait, and the fish are shy. I spent twenty minutes throwing a spear at water like an angry caveman.

Then Son sends you into a cave with the Heart. You solve a Requiem Cipher puzzle by memorizing four Requiem Symbols and repeating them on Reactive Crystals from top to bottom. A Rogue Necramech shoots the Heart. Your Warframe loses Shields and special movement. You waddle back to the surface like a confused Roomba.

The Entrati finally unite. Father gives you a Necramech. You destroy three Infested Hives, interact with panels, and defeat the Rogue Necramech. Then you return to Necralisk and meet Grandmother. She implies she caused the whole crisis. Iconic.

Rewards include Entrati Syndicate, Bounties, fishing, conservation, mining, Xaku blueprint, and Voidrig blueprint. You also get the joy of hearing Loid and Otak argue in one body.

Step 4: Grind Entrati Standing to Rank 3

Helminth needs Entrati Rank 3, Associate. The Entrati use tokens, not normal standing. All Cambion Drift activities give tokens. Turn them in for standing.

For Rank 3, I needed 71,000 Standing, 3 Spinal Core Sections, 10 Father Tokens, 10 Daughter Tokens, 1 Keratinos Gauntlet Blueprint, 1 Keratinos Blades Blueprint, 5 Common Avichaea Tags, 1 Medjay Predasite Tag, 20 Mother Tokens, and 10 Son Tokens. It felt like preparing for a wedding where the bride is a wall.

Step 5: Build the Helminth Segments

You also need Master Rank 8. Then buy the Helminth Segment Blueprint for 15,000 Standing and the Helminth Invigoration Segment Blueprint for 30,000 Standing. The Segment lets Helminth subsume Warframes and inject abilities. The Invigoration Segment gives temporary ability boosts.

Step 6: Feed the Beast

Helminth levels up when you feed it resources, subsume Warframes, or inject abilities. Subsuming a Warframe gives 160,000 experience. Injecting an ability gives 80,000. Feeding is fastest if you are a veteran with millions of Nano Spores and no shame. As a fresh Master Rank 8, I subsume and inject like crazy. My Helminth now says things that are either affectionate or threatening. I cannot tell.

Final Thoughts for 2026

Even after Warframe: 1999 and all the new shiny stuff, the Helminth system remains one of the best customization tools. It lets you put Roar, Warcry, Condemn, and other powers on frames that have no business using them. Is the grind annoying? Yes. Is it worth it? Also yes. Now go feed the wall. It is hungry. 🍽️
